To continue building our project we are getting deeper into the information we need to know to design our recycling factory.
First: check this vocabulary:
discard, waste, fibers, convert, corrugate board, kraft,
mill, Pulp, pack, compose, trim, filter.
Second: In your area group devide the words and look for their definitions.
Third: Search for the words definitions here: https://dictionary.reference.com/
Forth: Click this link: https://www.corkboard.it/collections/view/57783 and post your words and the definitions. Add pictures to make the words clearer
This is a graph that describes the process of recycling paper.
Retreieved from: https://santhiprinting.blogspot.com/2012/10/alphabet-r.html
Fifth: In your area groups do a similar graph explaining the process and paste it in the same corckboard: https://www.corkboard.it/collections/view/57783
Sixth: Watch the following video
Seventh: With the information from the video, the vocabulary, grammar structures, and the graphs you made do the following:
Retrieve from: https://crushers.crushersolution.com/applications/paper-recycling.html
Eight: In your area of study groups you describe this graphic following these instructions:
a. Get together with your group and prepare the description of this graph. Remember that you need to use sequencing structures, reviewed in step fifth to describe it, and the vocabulary studied at the begining of this stage.
b. Devide the presentation among the members of your group.
c. Record a video using your cellphones, or computers in which you show this image - you can find it in this link: https://crushers.crushersolution.com/applications/paper-recycling.html-.
a. Take turns to describe each step. That means that you need to be ready in a line to pass the graph one by one and describe it, while another person records the video.
b. Each person has a graph, and you are in order of participation so the person who records moves from one person to the next.
c. Upload the video in the next forum:
Ninth: To end this stage of the project you are creating a wiki (for a better understanding of what a wiki is visit this link: https://www.techterms.com/definition/wiki) in which you do the next:
a. Together with your area group think of how, from your area of study, you could improve the recycling process in Bogota. For instance, students of industrial engineering could think of the process itself; civil engineering students could thing of infraestructure solutions; systems engineering students could think of an intelligent system that integrates technology and recycling at home, etc.
b. Visit this link for video tutorials on how to edit the wiki space: https://www.wikispaces.com/content/wiki-tour.
c. Write your ideas collaborativelly in your areas of study posting in your corresponding page, per area of study, in the wiki space: https://working-together-1.wikispaces.com/ . All the members need to take part, writing ideas and complementing your partners interventions.
d. In your area groups you are concluding this stage by sharing ways to apply these ideas to the design of our recycling factory. This is being posted in the last page of the wiki space called Conclusion, and all areas post the conclusions there.
e. Finally, you are commenting on the conclusions of other groups in that same page. Please highlight the positive aspects.
